Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA): ABCs and 123s

Dear friend,

When I was in high school at Ursuline Academy, I tutored children at an elementary school down the block. Since then, I have had a passion for education in Louisiana and been determined to fix our broken system. I spoke at the Leadership for Change! Education Summit in Baton Rouge on Monday that gathered education leaders from across the state and nation. After spending the day at the summit with others who share my passion for this issue, I sense a tipping point in the near future .

In addition to my focus on education reform, I am committed to moving the RESTORE Act across the finish line. Just this week, a fellow Louisianian’s column in support of the legislation appeared in the New York Times .
